Hello everyone. I wanted to set down some "somewhat" optional rules on dueling fairly. Realize that everyone here is using a virtual deck, with no way to shuffle it! Thus some people will just draw whatever they wish from their decks, but this isn't very fair so I'm gonna offer an alternate method.
Lets go through the steps
1. Number each card in your deck
Don't use x2 or whatever for your multiples but instead give each a unique number. Remember not to do this with your Side and Extra Deck. If the deck in question is a Turbo Duel deck then do not number Speed World.
2. When the duel starts create a new txt file on your desktop
In this txt file you'll put your entire deck then above that your graveyard, hand, lifepoints, and speed counters (if turbo duel). You may write down here any information about your opponent too, like what is in their graveyard and their current lifepoints.
3. Go to Random.org
You'll immediately spot the random.org random number generator. In the min section you will put 1 and in the max section you'll put the total number of cards in your deck. (excluding side and extra decks also Speed World.)
4. Generate 5 Numbers for your opening hand
Put the number in your TXT file (be sure to separate the cards in your hand from the cards in your deck) then look through your deck and find the corresponding card. Replace the number with the card name then remove the card from your deck list (IN THE TXT file and not on the forum). At this point you renumber your cards and generate more numbers until you get your opening hand of 5 cards.
5. Generate a number whenever you draw
Use the steps mentioned above to continually draw random cards just as you would with a real deck (when it is your draw phase of course)
6. Keep track of EVERTHING
When a card is moved from your deck to your hand, graveyard or rfg, be sure to remove it from the deck and add the card to the respective area. When your lifepoints are changed be sure to change the lifepoints on the TXT file and be sure to log whatever made the change. Do things like this for everything, maybe even keep track of your opponent's graveyard and number of cards in their hand.
